The character for Qi means emptiness and fire;
we call Qi, subtle breath, life force and energy. (Chi, Qi, Prana, lifeforce)
The character of Gong, means ability or skill
Moving your life force or chi; moving your life force with skill.
Qigong/Tai Chi can be described as a mind-body-spirit practice that improves one's mental and physical health by integrating posture, movement, breathing technique, self-massage, sound, and focused intent. There are many qigong styles, schools, traditions, forms, and lineages, each with practical applications.
Qi means “life force,” the energy that powers our body and spirit. Gong is the term meaning work or gathering. Qi Gong together means a form of movement and mind using intention and mindfulness to guide qi to make qi work.
So, join me, practice Qi Gong, for your health and wellness!
